Stir fry beef with ginger and spring onions

Tender and juicy chunks of beef marinated in soy sauce and sesame oil, cooked with ginger, garlic and scallions.
Ingredients

Beef marinade

  • 200g Beef chunks
  • 15g Soy sauce
  • 10g Chinese Shao Xing wine
  • 10g Sesame oil
  • 1 tsp white pepper

Other ingredients

  • 20g Ginger (minced)
  • 30g Scallions (chopped)
  • 10g Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Dark soy sauce
  • Oil

Instructions

In a bowl. Place beef chunks, soy sauce, Chinese wine, sesame oil and some white pepper. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.

In a pan, add 1 tbsp oil and turn on high. When smoking, sear the marinated beef chunks for about 2 minutes. Once done, put in a bowl and set aside. (save the beef marinate, don’t throw it away)

In the same pan add 1 tbsp oil and turn on high. Then add in garlic, scallions, ginger and fry for about 2 minutes or till golden brown.

Add in the seared beef, beef marinate and cook for another 2 minutes. Once the gravy has thickened, it's ready to be served.

Tip
Make sure the wok or frying pan is very hot before searing the beef
