I had this dish at an Italian-American family’s house and thought wow, what a quick, easy and tasty dish! Feel free to add more vegetables, mix up your type of sausage, and play around with your favourite spices.
1.
In a large frying pan, brown the sausages on all sides and then remove to the side. Chop your sausages into coins.
2.
In the same pan, heat your butter on medium heat and then add your garlic and onion. After a couple minutes, add your peppers.
3.
Raise the heat to medium high and sauté for a few minutes until they look tender.
4.
Return the sausage pieces back to the pan and stir to combine.
5.
Add 2 tbsp of water, cover and let simmer until the water has evaporated (about 15 minutes).
6.
Season with salt and pepper to your preferences and serve.
