Fish with Green Herb Sauce

A simple take on a salsa verde sauce really elevates a simply cooked protein. You can use any protein that you want for this. I used sea bass but switch it up for your preferences and dietary requirements.

Ingredients

For the fish:

  • 2 white fish fillets
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

For the sauce:

  • 1 handful parsley finely chopped
  • 1 handful basil finely chopped
  • 1 large garlic clove minced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 ½ tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper
Needed kitchenware
  • Pan
  • Small bowl
  • Spoon
  • Knife
  • Chopping board
Instructions

1.

In a small bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients.

For the fish, rub the fillets with olive oil, salt and pepper.

Heat a pan over medium high heat.

Once hot add the fish and cook for about 3 minutes skin side down and then flip, and cook another minute or so.

Serve the fish with your sauce, and perhaps a side of vegetables and a low carb pasta option.
