Cabbage Dumplings

I love dumplings so I was very excited when i found a low carb recipe so that i can enojy these whenever I’m craving them!
Ingredients

Dumplings

  • 1 large cabbage
  • 500g pork mince
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 spring onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced

Dipping Sauce

  • 1 spring onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions
1.
Cut out the hard core of the cabbage so you have just leaves left.

Blanch your cabbage leaves in boiling water for 1 minute. Remove, and then cut out all the hard bits so you have half leaves left.

Mix together all the other ingredients in a bowl to make the filling. Add the filling to each half cabbage leaf and then wrap around.

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large pan over medium high heat. Add the dumplings and cook until browned on both sides, about 3 minutes per side.

Add about 3 tbsp of water, close the lid and let them steam for about 10 minutes.
6.
Meanwhile, mix the dipping sauce ingredients together. Serve dumplings with the dipping sauce.

Tip
This could easily be a main dish and I have it for dinner all the time
