Onboarding

A few tips and tricks to help in your first 12 weeks!

At Roczen, we know that making lifestyle changes can be hard and often healthy lifestyle alternatives can seem expensive and time consuming. Have a look at these tips to give you some inspiration for setting out on a successful health journey!

Swap your spaghetti

Missing pasta? Let's mix it up! Try edamame or black bean spaghetti – it's a delicious and nutritious alternative. You can find these at Asda, or snag a deal on Amazon with a bulk order. Each box serves four, perfect for your favourite spaghetti bolognese or meatball dish. Yum!

Zest up your water

Bored with plain water? It’s really important to keep well hydrated so let’s jazz it up. Add slices of lemon, lime, cucumber, and a sprig of mint. You can even prepare a jug overnight and leave it in the fridge to infuse the flavours fully. It's not just refreshing; it's a flavour fiesta in a glass without the added sugars of regular fruit juice mixtures.

Getting in those movement moments

Struggling to start exercising? Let's sneak fitness into your daily routine. Use those 'empty' moments – like while brushing your teeth or waiting for the kettle. Why not try some leg raises, squats, or calf raises? These mini-movements can make a big difference. Check out more ideas on our movement section online.

Smart food prep

Joe Wicks says, "Prep like a boss!" and we agree. Spend 10 minutes on these quick prep tips:

  • Cheese: Grate a bunch and store it in an airtight container. Use a tablespoon for a perfect portion.
  • Cauliflower: Grate fresh cauliflower, pat dry, and freeze in portions. Cauliflower rice ready in minutes!
  • Salad: Make a large mixed salad and store it. It's a time-saver for adding greens to any meal.
  • Eggs: Hard boil a few and keep them handy in the fridge. They're great for a quick, healthy snack.

Remember, these small steps can lead to big changes and the clinical team are here to support you all the way!
