This Italian-American classic is a flavourful and comforting way to prepare chicken, rich in creamy texture, full of bold aromas, and bursting with taste.

Ingredients
  • 8 Chicken Thighs
  • ½ Glass of White Wine
  • 5 Garlic cloves
  • 4 Red and Yellow peppers
  • ½ Litre Chicken Stock
  • ½ Lemon
  • Parsley
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Wheat Flour

Instructions

Season the chicken with some salt and pepper.

In a large pan add some olive oil and the chicken. Cook it on each side until golden brown.

Finely cut the garlic cloves and add it to the chicken. Deglaze with the wine.

Wash and clean the peppers. Cut them into little cubes and add them to the pan.

Let it cook for about 10 min then cover it with the chicken stock.

Turn down the heat and let cook everything for about 40 min.

In the last 10 min add the spoon of flour and stir well to thicken the sauce.

At the end add the half lemon juice, fresh parsley, and adjust with salt and pepper if needed.

Serve it hot with your favourite veggies and a side of greens. Enjoy it!

Tip

Combine it with complex carbohydrates and a side of vegetables or salad to balance the meal. Low-Fat Option: Use chicken breast instead of the chicken thighs.
